Nikki Brown
Nicky, a horticulturist from the UK, has recently joined the IAPF team. Based at DETE in Hwange National Park she brings a wealth of knowledge to Zimbabwe. Nikki will be working in conjunction with Kat, our ecologist, towards interactive environmental studies projects for local schools. With sufficient funding she will oversee the building of greenhouses at schools in Victoria Falls and Dete. These greenhouses will run side-by-side with classroom work and allow students to learn how to grow renewable energy and food. They will also take part in reforestation projects in their local areas.

To compliment the program students will grow various herbs that will then be sold to local restaurants. This gives them vital business management skills that can be used later in life.

Dr Clay Wilson
Clay Wilson, a Kasane based vet, has recently come onboard with the IAPF. Clay who ran a large Florida based practice for 20 years has been working in Botswana’s Chobe National Park where he has had the status as ‘Honorary Wildlife Officer” for three years now. During this time he has treated numerous wild animals suffering from various illnesses. Additionally Clay has rescued many animals from snares and poaching incidents in the area, giving them a second chance.

Clay has a practice in Kasane where he attends to domestic and wild animals in the area. He spends much of his time in the bush where he feels most at home. His dedication is fantastic and we are proud to have him as part of the team.
